❤️Will You Be My Valentine? 2/16/25
A Lovely Valentine's Day
Hey friends! I hope you all had a fantastic Valentine’s Day—I know we sure did! Now, before we dive into this little update, you’re probably thinking, “Wait… what’s going on here?”
Glad you asked. I’ve been wanting to create a space to share what’s happening in my life with all of you. Recently, I’ve been reading a ton of newsletters, and naturally, in true self-aggrandizing fashion, I thought, “Why not make my own for friends?”
I’ve always loved vlogging, but there’s something about filming that pulls you out of the moment—it becomes more about capturing what’s next than actually living it. Writing a weekly recap feels more intentional. It’s a way to reflect and share without missing the here and now.
I have no idea how long this will last, but hey, let’s enjoy the ride while it does.
So, without further ado, here’s what’s been up with Will:

We had a Love is Blind watch party and are just one episode away from finishing it!
The Fall (2006) was the subject of a movie night with friends this week. It’s visually stunning (some of the most mind-blowing transitions I have ever seen), but totally niche and definitely deserves more attention. Rylee described it as “Camp”. Highly recommend!
I spent a day wandering around SF and checked out some fun spots:
I tried a toasted banana latte at a trendy cafe called Outset Coffee. You can’t really see it because of the cup, but it had pureed banana in it, so it is in all sense of the word bananas. Tasty!

I toured the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. Nicky Nodjoumi: The Personal is Political, Nahid Hagigat: Etched in Time, and The Only Door I Can Open: Women Exposing Prison through Art were the current exhibitions. If you are interested in looking at some of the pieces, I found out that the Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD) did a virtual exhibition of The Only Door I Can Open that you can check out here.

Picture of Market Street in 1900’s (Left)One of the docents taught me how to drive a 1900s streetcar at the San Francisco Railway Museum—my new backup career option. The museum itself shows the history of the streetcar in San Francsico and is run by Market Street Railway, a non-profit dedicated to preserving historic transit. Did you know that San Francisco was the first major city to create a city-owned and operated transit system?
Rylee is the Chef to my Sous Chef
On Valentine’s Day, Rylee and I made homemade pizza since trying to get a dinner reservation was basically impossible.
The next day, we made up for it with dinner at a lovely Italian restaurant in the city. However, it was this fateful dinner that I met the new love of my life. Move over Rylee because Spumoni is now my valentine.
That face when you get Spumoni for dessert.
For anyone unaware, Spumoni is an Italian dessert originating in Naples, and is traditionally a combination of pistachio, cherry, and chocolate ice cream. If you are thinking, “this sounds familiar to Neapolitan ice cream”, you would be right. This is the OG, as the vastly inferior Neapolitan was adapted from Spumoni for broader appeal. I get it, vanilla, chocolate and strawberry are three of the most classic flavors in the history of ice cream, but it doesn’t get any points for originality. We have given enough spotlight to Neapolitan. It is time to hold space for Spumoni.
I am going to start a section to showcase a video that I found particularly interesting during the week. This time round is a literal drink-around-the-world challenge. With some effort, I feel like I could totally get to more countries. Anyone want to try with me?
